3/9/2018 2 Comments Dhamaal This week I watched this really super cool and fun movie called Dhamaal! This movie and part one to a series! I can’t wait to watch the rest of the series. The movie was filmed in 2007. It’s basically about these 4 slackers, who can’t do anything right. One is kind of the “brains” of the group. Second guy is kind of the plan creator. Third guy is the funny runt of the 4. Then the last one is the crazy one. All four of them live together in a house, and how the house works is that they get the second floor the four of them and the landlord gets the bottom (1st) floor. So they have been cheating their way out of paying rent, until the landlord finds out the truth of this and they get kicked out for fraud, lying and cheating to the landlord. So they sleep on the benches in the park. The next day, they get fired from their jobs and they are walking down the side of the road. When a car comes flying by and crashes. They try to go save the guy and the guy says “leave me to die, just save my treasure its in a garden with a big W.” He says other stuff but the guys don’t pay attention because they think about is money. So the leave him to die and start the search only to find out that a cop is looking for it too. Throughout this whole movie my mom and I were dying of laughter. This movie is truly a comedy. No wonder they made 3 parts to it! I really can’t wait to watch the 2nd part. I give this movie a 30/30! I really suggest you guys check it out. It's amazing.

2/27/2018 3 Comments Judwaa 2This week I got the pleasure to watch this amazing movie called Judwaa 2. The first part to this movie was filmed in 1997. Due to the massive success of the first part over the years. They decided to film a second part 20 years later in 2017. This movie is about 2 twins who get separated at birth. One twin is nerdy and nice. He is from a rich family and raised in london. While the other twin was born in london but raised in Mumbai, India. The other twin is the total opposite. He knows how to fight, and fend for himself. After a incident they meet for the first time and are starstruck. For a long time in the movie they don’t ever come to the conclusion that they are brothers but they think that they are just people who happen to look like each other. I really enjoyed this movie because it was super funny and I loved the concept of it. Not to mention I loved the scene when the boy’s girlfriends get mad at the guy so they decide to tell them that they are twins. The way they told the girls about this was absolutely hilarious because it ended very poorly but I laughed so much throughout this movie. It really was a superb movie. I have the trailer down below. Check it out. I would give this movie a 30/10 because why not. Also not mention some of my favorite bollywood actors and actresses were in this movie.2/22/2018 3 Comments Golmaal AgainThis week I watched Golmaal Again with my family! Apparently, it's a blockbuster hit back in India so I thought why not! After, I watched it. Let me just say! BEST INDIAN MOVIE EVER!!!! I love how this movie was built! It took place in this beautiful place and there are these 2 gangs. They hate each other but their hatred goes back to when they were in an orphanage. Back at the orphanage they took in this baby girl and named her and raised her. But got kicked out after they started to clash and fight each other more. So Since that day they had not seen each other until they got invited to their orphanages caretaker’s funeral. Only to find out that the death wasn’t a death. A Lot of things go on in this movie and I’ll be honest with you I cried about 5 times watching this movie. I know I talked about morals and lesson in my last blog but hands down let me just say this movie by far had me in tears. It made me realize that I should treasure the moments I have with my friends and family because I’ll never know when they might be take away. I give this movie 20/10. Yep, a 20 out of 10. It’s that good. I highly recommend it!! Down below there is a mini clip trailer with english subtitles! 2/13/2018 3 Comments DangalThis week I watched a hindi film called dangal. It was released on December 23, 2016. Mahavir Singh (Aamir Khan) is the father of Geeta and Babita which is played by 4 people. This film is based on a real story about 2 girls how they become the first female indian wrestlers to win gold medals. It shows the hard work, time and dedication that the girls put in to be at the place that they are now. The film gives you an essence of how it all began for the girls. From beating boys up because they made rude comments about the other sister (Babita) to how Geeta becomes this championship winner. It shows what Geeta learned about the way her father taught her wrestling and it shows the good perks and the bad perks of living away from home and not keeping in touch with who you are. This film is not only about the girls and their journey to where they stand in the world today but it teaches valuable lessons to kids and teens everywhere. What I learned or took away as you might say from this film is that parents are always right. They are the key foundation to which you have built your own life upon. So they really do know what is best for you. Your own family will always be there for you and will always forgive you and show you the right path in life. All you have to do is ask. Never forget your nature and who you are because when you do. You're going to be the one suffering. Not other people. Also never be so confident that you think that you can do anything because no one is perfect. That is what I learned from this film. I've actually learned a lot but I'm just listing the major lessons. To know more. I highly suggest you check this film out. It is truly an inspiration and a beautiful piece of art. There's not alot of films out there like this.
2/5/2018 4 Comments Beauty and the BeastThis week I watched Beauty and the Beast. I loved how they brought this Disney classic to life. Belle (Emma) did an amazing job with her expressions with each line delivery. She was phenomenal, this role definitely fit her. It felt as if you were in her shoes and feeling her emotions. To be honest I tested up when it came to her father being locked up in the wagon. Her dress was almost similar to the one in the animated movie. Not to mention Beast’s costume looked so lively and real. His roar seemed pretty spot on but in certain parts you could tell where they used sound and audio playbacks. Their actions, feet and hand movement and coordination were impeccable. Although the new version is a lot more dark, twisted it still captures the same essence as the old one. And it brings out the fact that there is beauty in everyone of you know where to look. I really suggest you go watch it if you haven’t already. It is piece of artwork. |
